Breville VDF018 Deep Fat Fryer Controls consist of a simple variable temperature control and indicator lights for power on and temperature reached status. There is no timer function. For ease of cleaning the rear heating element can be removed, as well as the enamel bowl. Everything except the heating unit can be placed in the dishwasher. There are two plastic handles on the side for easy maneuverability but be aware that the walls get hot when in use. To be safe allow the oil to cool first. There is a also a cord storage compartment to keep things tidy. The VDF018 requires sufficient ventilation as there is no odour filter and the lid does not have a viewing window. To prevent things getting burnt you will probably have to cook with the lid off most of the time. Also the basket handle does not fold, making storage awkward. Pros:
